The environmental crisis on the one hand and the necessity of moving beyond quality on the other hand have brought about extensive changes in the HSE management system and the role of HSE experts and managers in manufacturing and service organizations. These changes are reflected in the HSE Maturity Mark, as the HSE Management System, 2023 Edition, focuses on new indicators of environmental pollution control, promotion of technical knowledge, engineering and safety culture, environmental health with an economic approach and through optimal resource consumption. Because any environmental pollution, in addition to threatening the safety of colleagues, is also challenging for nature.
The commissions and study centers of the Iranian Green Management Association (hereinafter referred to as KAMK) have been established for the following purposes: training experts and evaluators in the field of KAMK, producing an evaluation model, improving expert and organizational capacity, and issuing organizational and individual certifications.
Therefore, in modern management systems, the HSE unit has shifted its focus from controlling the end of the processes (such as pollution emissions) to the beginning of the processes (controlling resource consumption) and has assumed an economic and problem-solving role in all processes and implementation stages.
In this regard, the Iranian Green Management Association, in cooperation with the Global Green Management Society, has established the HSE Experts and Managers Organizing Commission.
