A Critique of Gunther Pauli’s The Blue Economy Theory. 2017 Edition

Abstract

The blue economy is an innovative theory by Günter Pauli that proposes sustainable development based on local resources, without waste and debt. This eco-oriented model has attracted a lot of attention, especially in critical environmental and energy conditions. However, the blue economy also faces criticisms, including the difficulty of fully implementing it in industry. A proper understanding of this model prevents misinvestments and can provide practical solutions for local businesses. Also, this theory needs to be reinterpreted in the context of Generation Z and Alpha, a generation that is tied to technology, environmental concerns, and digital innovation. The blue economy will only be effective if it provides the tools, as well as inspiration, to the next generation.

Negative Aesthetics from the Perspective of Arnold Berlint

Abstract Arnold Berlint, by focusing on sensory experience in aesthetics, which is not always accompanied by positive feelings, analyzes the question of why and how aesthetic values are negative in order to expand the scope of aesthetics beyond the “beautiful” and its application in the artistic field. And since aesthetics for Berlint is an empirical matter, in order to open up this scope, he does not categorize aesthetic states (positive and negative) and deals with the identification of aesthetic states. Therefore, Berlint refers to sensory experiences that do not have positive value as under beauty names. By introducing the characteristics of negative criticism in the field of art, Berlint reveals the breadth of negative aesthetics and its various forms in relation to art criticism. One of these types is what is commonly called bad taste. By explaining the relationship between ethics and negative aesthetics, the possibility of social and moral evaluation of artistic objects and environmental pollution is presented to the audience, and by going beyond positive aesthetics, a new topic is introduced under the title of “Negative Aesthetics Beyond Art”. color: red;”>” and provides reflection on the environmental crisis for study.
